Appointments and Cancellations

Appointments are scheduled in advance, at a cadence we agree on, based on your goals, treatment needs, and our mutual availability. Payments for each appointment will be made through Headway by debit or credit card, ACH transfer, or cash. Cash clients are required to pay in advance.

You may cancel appointments in advance without charge, as long as I receive notice at least 24 hours in advance. For no-shows or cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, a $75 fee may be charged. Please reach out to me directly for any questions regarding my cancellation policy.

Availability and After-Hours Emergencies

I check for voicemail messages during normal business hours. Messages left outside of normal hours will be addressed on the next business day. If you are experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts, are in crisis, or need immediate help, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Contacting Me

I am often not immediately available by telephone and do not answer calls when I am with clients or otherwise unavailable. During these times, you may leave a message on my confidential voicemail, and I will return your call after reviewing your chart. For non-urgent matters, it may take up to two business days. I will make every effort to inform you of planned absences in advance and provide the contact information of a covering mental health professional. If I must cancel an appointment at the last minute, I will notify you as soon as possible and reschedule or have my staff connect with you.

Discharge Process

There are various reasons why we may end our professional relationship. You may choose to work with another provider, or I may determine that your needs would be better met by someone else. In such cases, I will discuss the reasons for discharge with you and, upon request, provide referrals to other qualified providers. I may also extend the discharge process if necessary, including offering limited emergency support for a defined period after notifying you of the treatment relationship's end.

Please note that ongoing failure to pay for treatment, attend sessions, or communicate respectfully may result in discharge from my practice. If this occurs, I will make every reasonable effort to contact you and provide referrals to ensure continuity of care before considering the relationship ended.
